Hairline Artistry — Gangnam, Seoul, Korea
Soft natural
density.
Korean hairline tattoo and scalp micropigmentation by Director Lee An Na — softly framing the face with seamless density and refined hair-like detailing. Two hairline approaches calibrated to your face shape, hair pattern, and coverage goals.

The Approach
The frame around your face, quietly redrawn.
Hairline work isn't really about hair — it's about the frame around the face. The right hairline brings symmetry, softens facial proportion, and quietly resolves the things you've always been a little self-conscious about: thinning temples, an uneven part, a forehead that feels a touch too wide.
Our approach is restraint above all. Pigment is layered in soft, hair-like detailing — never solid, never block-printed — and shaped to your face rather than to a template. The finish reads as your hairline, simply fuller and more refined — never tattoo-obvious.
Studio Approach
Quiet Density — our hairline philosophy. Refined, hair-like, and seamlessly integrated with what you already have.

From soft hairline shaping to seamless scalp density — two hairline approaches calibrated to your face shape, hair pattern, and the kind of result you're imagining.

Soft powder framing
Air touch hairline.
A soft powder-based hairline design creating seamless natural density and delicate facial framing. Pigment is layered in airy, hair-like detailing along the existing hairline — softly framing the face with effortless natural density.
Designed for clients with naturally thin temples, an asymmetrical hairline, or anyone wanting subtle facial framing refinement. The result reads as a slightly fuller, more symmetrical hairline — bringing the entire face into balance without ever announcing itself.

Crown & part-line density
Powder veil SMP.
A seamless powder-density technique creating soft, naturally fuller-looking scalp coverage. Pigment is placed in fine powder-like dots across the part line, crown, or wider scalp — designed for soft, naturally elevated scalp definition that integrates with your existing hair.
Ideal for clients seeking thicker-looking coverage across the parting, crown, or broader scalp areas. Sessions are scaled to coverage area — from single-area refinement to multi-session full SMP. The finish stays veil-soft: never solid, never obvious from any angle.

The Process
Hairline sessions are unhurried, precise, and shaped to your existing hair pattern, growth direction, and face proportion.
01
Consultation & Hairline Mapping
We assess your natural hairline shape, hair growth direction, and existing density. Goals are mapped to your face proportion and current hair color.
30 minutes
02
Custom Design Sketch
Your new hairline shape (Air Touch) or coverage map (Powder Veil) is sketched directly on the scalp in pencil. Symmetry and natural taper are reviewed together.
20–30 minutes
03
PMU Procedure
Topical numbing applied. Pigment is layered in soft, controlled micro-passes — building density gradually rather than saturating in one session.
1.5–3 hours
04
Aftercare & Follow-up
Healing balm provided, with written aftercare in English, Japanese & Traditional Chinese. Touch-up at 6–8 weeks (Air Touch) or per-session follow-ups for SMP.

Healing Timeline
What the hairline looks like over 30 days.
Hairline healing is steady and predictable. Color shifts noticeably between day one and the final result — the journey is exactly how natural-looking density is built.
Day 1
Bold, slightly darker
Color appears more saturated and darker than the final tone. Mild redness around the area is normal — settling within 24 hours.
Day 2–5
Tiny scab phase
Fine scabs may form across the treated area. Do not pick or rub. Avoid sweating heavily, hair washing, and direct hot water on the scalp.
Day 6–14
The fade illusion
Color may appear to fade by 40–60%. The deeper pigment is still settling under the skin — do not panic at this stage.
Day 14–28
True tone surfaces
Soft, refined density emerges. The hairline frames the face naturally; SMP integrates seamlessly with existing hair.
Week 6–8
Touch-up session
Color, density, and edge softness are perfected. Your final natural hairline density is locked in.
Frequently Asked
Hairline questions, honestly answered.
Not when done correctly. Our entire approach is built around restraint — pigment is layered in soft, hair-like detailing rather than solid block-printing, and the density is built gradually across sessions. The result reads as a slightly fuller, more symmetrical hairline, not as a drawn-on line. Up close or in bright daylight, the work stays seamlessly integrated with your existing hair.
Hair transplants surgically move follicles from one area of the scalp to another and grow real hair. Hairline PMU (Air Touch Hairline and Powder Veil SMP) places pigment under the skin to visually add density and frame the face — without surgery, downtime, or moving any hair. The two are often complementary: many clients refine their hair transplant results with our hairline work, or use PMU as a non-surgical alternative.
Air Touch Hairline typically lasts 2–3 years before softening. Powder Veil SMP lasts longer — usually 3–5 years — because the pigment placement is denser and on a less mobile area of skin. Longevity depends on lifestyle: UV exposure, oily scalp, frequent shampooing with active scalp treatments, and excessive sweating can all soften color faster. A color refresh every 2–3 years keeps the result at its best.
No — pigment is custom-mixed to match your current hair color and undertone. If you regularly change your hair color, the pigment is calibrated toward your natural base so the work continues to read naturally even between dye jobs. If you plan a major hair color change, please mention it during consultation so we can plan accordingly.
Yes, when performed by a trained PMU artist with sterile, single-use needles and professional-grade pigments. The scalp is a more resilient area than the lip or eye, but we still apply topical numbing for comfort and work in short, controlled passes. Clients with active scalp conditions (seborrheic dermatitis flare-up, recent scalp procedures, etc.) should consult their dermatologist before booking — your consultation will cover all health and safety questions in detail.
